Rates and Terms
Service agreements fall into either an hourly rate, per-project fee or retainer rates. My base rate is $25 per hour, however clients who choose the retainer option receive a significant discounted rate per hour depending on the nature of work.
Retainer packages reserve a set number of hours (10, 15, or 20) per week or month. Retainer payments are auto-paid in advance each month and require a 3 month commitment. Contact me to discuss your needs.
Per-project tasks require a 50% deposit upon client acceptance of the estimate. The project will begin upon receipt of the initial payment with the balance due upon completion and final client-approval of the project. The project will be turned over to the client upon receipt of the balance due.
Sorry I do not accept checks. Payments must be made online via PayPal. PayPal accepts VISA, MasterCard, American Express and Discover Card credit and debit cards.
PayPal offers financing for payments over $99. Apply with PayPal Credit.
Clients are required to sign a Work for Hire Agreement or Statement of Work outlining the scope of the work to be performed prior to the commencement of any project. Invoices are due upon receipt. Invoice not paid within 10 days of receipt are subject to a late fee of 3% of the total amount due.
For copy editing and proofreading services, we prefer to work with an MS Word document of your manuscript so that we may use Track Changes. For interior book design and eBook file creation, we also prefer to work with an MS Word document.
Upon request, we can perform a sample edit of one page of your manuscript for your inspection, up to 300 words.
