I completed the first book Put The Word In Your Mouth in 2004, life began to happen, I became distracted and I procrastinated on launching the very book that God had told me to write. Then in 2008 my computer was wiped out and I lost the book. After I got over the devastation of the loss the desire to publish the book burned even more.
Anointed Scribes Café is a Facebook Group for Christian writers who have expressed interest in writing and self-publishing a book or in upping their writing game. I started the group because I talk with so many who have been taken advantage of trying to self-publish their book, and with people who have questions about writing and self-publishing a book, but didn’t know how.

This is a common question that I get from aspiring authors often. If you are self-publishing, you are in control. My answer is it depends on the genre. Your final page count in the final book can vary greatly depending on formatting choices: margins, fonts, linespacing, graphics, white space, and so on. Here is a guideline that you can use:

When purchasing a book you don’t really purchase it because of the cover. After the manuscript is edited, the pages are designed, and you have your beautiful cover, the next thing you are faced with is who to publish your book with. I notice that many self-publishing authors use only KDP to self-publish their books. However, in my opinion, they cut themselves off from profits when they do this. For this reason and others I always set the authors I work with up with IngramSpark and Kindle Direct Publishing (KDP) for print and eBook publishing.
